I admit this is just an excuse for me to share some of my favourite interior photography from shoots all over Europe. From luxurious Greek hotels to ‘Western’ themed family rooms in the Alhambra, sophisticated lobbies on the Amalfi coast to underground war rooms in Valetta. This is not just a collection of those stunning insta worthy interiors but also a few little gems I have had the privilege of being allowed access to shoot for travel guides & holiday brochures over the years.
I get to see some amazing hotels when out on shoots especially the 5 star places like the Grecotel Corfu Imperial that really are a treat! But then the odd curveball makes it into my favourites, like the family rooms at the Playadulce in Aguadulce which are themed around the classic Western films shot in the Alhambra.
Some of these campsites knock the socks off hotels with their restaurants, spas & all important patisseries.
One of my favourite things is to have a museum, gallery or event space on a brief for a travel guide, part of it is getting to wear a lanyard but also the privilege of shooting in spaces where you can’t usually get your camera out or even access at the right time. The Casa Cesar Marique was a massive highlight, having a pass to shoot in his studio made my geeky day. The Lascaris War rooms in Valetta are a must if you visit the city… even just to escape the heat after watching the cannons at midday!
Ok so am stretching the interiors theme a lot here, but surely a highlight of every holiday is that outside living, on terraces, beach restaurants, bars, spas or just taking in the views from stunning buildings where the architecture & landscape are as one.
Links to all the interiors below for you to check out & hopefully go see for yourselves.
As always big thanks to those who commissioned me to shoot for their travel guides, brochures & websites.
